When my boyfriend and I started dating, I refused to let him see me without makeup on. I was convinced that he would take one look at my face and run the other way, and I could not be more wrong. He never once cared whether or not I had mascara on, and complimented me non-stop, even first thing in the morning, which we all know is not a good look for anyone.

However, OP didn't want to break up with the guy without letting him know exactly what he was losing. She decided to comply with his demand, and fully glammed up for their next date, only to leave him mid-date.
